Amazing Macro Photography Through Drops of Water

This is some of the most stunning we have ever seen.

We’ve featured some rather incredible photography over the years, but this is some of the most stunning we have ever seen.

These incredible images were all captured by chance when photographer Alissa Rosenberg was bored one cold day and began to take close-up photos of water droplets. Alissa then decided to shoot objects through the tiny water drops, which resulted in these truly incredible photos.

Alissa says “I have been trying to capture drops with double meanings using a variety of subjects and objects. I am expanding past pencils and have used water droppers, glitter glue droppers, matches, wine bottles, glasses, red Solo cups, and wire. Sometimes the drops are whimsical, playing on a familiar pun or idiom, and other times I have tried to capture more meaningful messages.”

To take the perfect shot Alissa must place whatever object she wants to capture in the background. Then she takes the shot at the exact perfect moment, which gives the illusion that the object is trapped inside the water drops

“Thanks to science, anything behind a water drop will reflect into the drop upside-down. So all of the colours that you see in the photo are really just reflections.”
