Mesmerizing Animated GIFs by Blind Artist George Redhawk

Take a look at these totally mesmerizing animated images. They were all created by the very talented artist George Redhawk, who is in fact classed as legally blind!

The images which are part of the “The World Through My Eyes” series were created by using specialist software that was designed to aid the visually impaired.

George says “Following the loss of most of my vision, I began to explore this medium as a means to express the world through my damaged sight. My art is designed with the idea to challenge and in some cases, disturb the visual sense of ‘order,’ very much in the same way that my vision has become a constant challenge to me.”

He has recently collaborated with Kickstarter for the Blackdove project. Blackdove is a digital motion art gallery representing today’s most compelling global artists all packaged in a mobile application and you can download the Blackdove app here.
