When life gets you down who can we look to for a source of inspiration, life advice and guidance? Maybe Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain or the great Buddha himself?
How about Patrick from Spongebob Squarepants or BMO from Adventure Time?
You may not have realised it, but kids TV shows and movies have given us some of the best examples of life advice there is.
Take for example these little gems about ‘never giving up’…
“They say the best blaze burns brightest, when the circumstances are at their worst” – Sophie (Howl’s Moving Castle)
“Sometimes we have to go deep inside ourselves to solve our problems” – Patrick (Spongebob)
“Just keeps swimming” – Dory (Finding Nemo)
We enjoyed the shows when we were younger and they had characters that we could relate to. The stories and adventures make you feel like you’ve been through the good and the bad times with them. These are our influencers and they stay with us, embedded in the back of our consciousness.
