What We’ve All Been Waiting For – Star Wars: A New Hope Reimagined as 80s Anime

It’s great to see Luke, Han and Chewy all in a beautiful stunning anime style.

Russian Artist and YouTuber Dmitry Grozov (Ahriman) wows us again with another anime version of Star Wars.

Last time we featured Grozov’s work we looked at his amazing take on 80s and 90s scifi movies. We’ve also previously looked at Paul Johnson’s TIE Fighter and Lap Pun Cheung’s Studio Ghibli styled Star wars Saga. This time Grozov presents a retro anime re-imagining of A New Hope. Unfortunately it’s only a trailer and not a full movie, so we can only dream about ever seeing this full feature being made.

It’s so beautifully done with its 80’s old school look, which reminds me of Battle of the Planets, Robotech and Gundam. It’s great to see Luke, Han and Chewy all in a beautiful stunning anime style.

While we keep daydreaming about how good this could be let’s sit back and enjoy this remarkable trailer even if it’s only for 2 minutes 20 seconds.

You can see more of Grozov’s work here. If you want more Star Wars Anime then look here – TIE Fighter & The Force Awakens and more Star Wars posts here.
