You don’t have to wait until April to get you latest fix of Star Wars – The Force Awakens. Those really nice guys at Industrial Light & Magic have unleashed these previously unseen concept artwork from the movie.
“Each artist began to explore his individual response, and collectively, we began to answer, with our words and art. Out of our brainstorming sessions emerged visual imagery of where we might want to go and what it would look like when we got there. We were not merely illustrating scenes that already existed: we were initiating storytelling concepts through the visual images themselves.” – Rick Carter, co-production designer, Star Wars: The Force Awakens
These awesome artworks by a handful of artists give us a informative look at the scenes that made it to the final cut and some that didn’t. Oh, and Han Solo was originally supposed to have a beard and Who resides in the evil Dracula looking castle in the last image we can only guess. Snook maybe?
