You only have to look at the first image below to see why the hell clowns are creepy as f#*k!
With the sudden craze of killer clowns sweeping the country it’s funny to think that once a figure of laughter and fun could now be perceived as so terrible! Clowns are supposed to be a symbol of fun and innocence. With their brightly coloured clothes, silly wigs, makeup and funny slapstick ways.
What makes a clown creepy?
A manic smile, wild makeup, crazy hair or a mischievous laugh? With comic book and movie characters like the Joker from Batman and Pennywise (brilliantly played by Tim Curry) from Stephen King’s ‘IT’ scaring the s#*t out of us.
In reality the threat is still very real too with the real “Killer Clown”, otherwise known as serial killer John Wayne Gacy, really pushing that message into our psyche that ‘clowns are evil’. It is hard for the once friendly clown to ever be a sign of friendly fun and laughter again!
Although people nowadays recoil at the sight of a clown usually due to the creepiness, there is an actual term for a phobia of clowns and it’s called – Coulrophobia.
Please be warned that if you do have a fear of clowns, then please do not scroll down. You have been warned!
“You’re my child now!”
“I like you kid. I’m going to eat your soul last!”
“They all float down here!”
“Don’t be afraid little boy. It will all be over soon. Mwah haha!”
“Can’t sleep clown will eat me!”
