The beautiful visual illusions were all hand-crafted by South Korean artist Dain Yoon.
Dain Yoon has been picking up quite a following on Instragram over the last year and you only have to look at these totally surreal makeup designs to see why!
Yoon Said – “When you first see someone, you can not judge the whole person with your first impression. I wanted to draw a picture of the back of a person or his multiple. Using parts of the body, I could express humanity’s multiplicity and diversity in one.”
“I think the optical illusion itself is also very funny. I have been drawing since I was a child, and I have been interested in work that can show my wits as I grow older. It is my greatest charm to be able to enjoy myself and see interesting people.”
All the designs are hand-drawn by Yoon herself and can take a painstaking 3-12 hours to complete.
“This is a very difficult process since it is even hard to realistically capture the subject on paper,” “Drawing on my own body through the reflection on mirrors is a very difficult process. Hours of painting through mirror often makes me dizzy.”
