They say one persons junk is another persons treasure and in this case it is definitely true!
Take for example these brilliant sculptures made entirely out of old Amazon cardboard boxes by Japanese artists Monomi Ohno. Where we might see a disused box and throw it in recycling, Ohno sees artistic potential and creates something magnificent.
Ohno started creating these sculptures to practice her 3D modelling skills while studying animation at Osaka University. It is a great way to save money because the relevent 3D software doesn’t come cheap when you are a student!
Now Ohno is a fully recognised cardboard artist and she can make anything from the Millennium Falcon to a pair of sneakers.
