Gorgeous Tattoos Helping Cover the Scars of Survivors of Breast Cancer

It is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer.

We have featured many tattoo posts here on Joyenergizer, but none as beautiful and special as this one.

The ‘C’ word is always a sensitive subject and breast cancer in particular is the most common cancer among women in the United States, other than skin cancer. It is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer.

A mastectomy, which involves the surgical removal of part or all of a breast can help save the lives of people suffering from breast cancer and also the people who may be at risk of developing it in the future. Although the procedure is life-saving, the scars which can be left behind are not only physical, but can be psychological too.

P.ink – Personal Ink as helped women with mastectomy scars connect with a collection of talented tattoo artists and allow them to cover their scars in beautiful tattoos.
