What is your biggest fear?
Could it be spiders? How about clowns? Maybe you have a fear of heights or being bitten by a dog or how about liminal spaces?
So what is a liminal space? In architecture, liminal spaces are defined as “the physical spaces between one destination and the next.” Common examples of such spaces include hallways, airports, and streets.
It is completely understandable for people to have a fear of liminal spaces. Just imagine peering down a dark and narrow corridor with a red light glowing at the bottom it can be nightmare-inducing.
Let’s take a look at some rather creepy examples. Do you really want to go down there?

I work graveyard at the mall alone this was in the middle of the floor at 4 am this morning

“Pool is at the end of the hall.”

The Exit

I’ve been walking in circles for hours. Will it ever end?

This corridor, man… this is gonna haunt me on dreams

It’s just the beginning

Go to gate

There’s probably an evil test lab at the end

I walked out of my room and was greeted with this. The only light is from the exit signs at either end of the hall, but walking towards them doesn’t get you any closer. Some of the doors have a strange glow to them, but they all seem to be locked. What should I do?

The further I walk, the halls seem to get older. I could swear I’ve heard the sounds of brick sliding on brick, and when I go back, the hallway’s different. I have a feeling I won’t be getting out

Only a faint hum and my footsteps can be heard

Uhaul

This place doesn’t feel right

Hallway to bathroom in the mall – as soon as I entered it the Christmas music playing on the speakers got really faint and the sound of the lights grew louder

I ended up here
